KU Athletics Hall of Fame

The University of Kansas Athletics Hall of Fame was established to formally recognize outstanding individuals and teams and to preserve the heritage and tradition of the University's athletics program.

Each member of the Hall of Fame is recognized within Allen Fieldhouse with a 16 x 20 inch framed portrait in the east lobby.

Individuals are eligible for the Hall of Fame by achieving any of the following:

  • Olympic Medalist
  • U.S. Olympic Team Member
  • World or American Record Holder
  • NCAA Individual Champion
  • Consensus 1st Team All-America

Head coaches are eligible by coaching an NCAA Championship team. Teams are eligible based on accomplishments for a particular season (i.e. Final Four, World Series or bowl teams).

Special admittance is the other criteria considered. Some individuals and teams may be considered for bringing national distinction and honor to KU.
