Nigel King Declares For the NFL Draft

LAWRENCE, Kan. – Kansas wide receiver Nigel King has announced his intentions to declare for the 2015 National Football League (NFL) Draft. King, a native of Raleigh, North Carolina, spent one season at KU as a graduate transfer after completing his degree at Maryland.

“I felt like I was ready to come out,” said King of his decision to not return for his final season of eligibility. “In my heart this is what I wanted to do. My time at Kansas was a great experience. I learned a lot from the coaches and met some really great people.”

In his lone season as a Jayhawk, King hauled in 29 receptions for 518 yards and one touchdown. Included amongst his 29 receptions was a 78-yard highlight-reel catch against TCU that was considered one of the top plays in the NCAA in 2014.
