QUOTABLES & NOTABLES
"Obviously an ugly, ugly game. The box score takes care of itself when you get one hit and give up 15. I think the first time through the order for us we had one punch out, so I actually thought the approach was pretty good. Then, we just completely abandoned the plan offensively and on the mound once we got punched in the mouth a couple times. Great opportunity for us to learn, or I should say it is an opportunity for us to learn. We need to take advantage of it because obviously it gets a lot harder from here." – Head Coach
Dan Fitzgerald

• Kansas dropped to 10-5 overall on the season.
• Ballinger hit his first triple of the season.
