Moved to No. 2 on the all-time KU performance list in the 400 meters with his personal best time of 45.44… Earned Second Team All-American honors in the 400 meters after finishing 11th at the NCAA Championships (6/6), clocking in at 45.44… Ran the 400 meters at the U.S. Olympic Trials (6/22), rounding the track in 46.61 and finishing 23rd in the first round… Member of KU[apos]s 4×400-meter relay team which ran to the second-fastest time in school history (3:04.89) at the Big 12 Championships (5/12) en route to finishing fourth… Raced to a third-place finish in the 400 meters at the Big 12 Championships (5/13), crossing the finish line in 45.91…set a personal best in the 100 meters at the Baker Relays (3/24) where he posted a time of 10.71 to finish second.
2012 INDOOR
Took part in the 400 meters at the Big 12 Championships (2/24) where he placed ninth and crossed the finish line with a time of 47.75… Won the 600 yards at the Kansas vs. Missouri Dual (1/13) posting a time of 1:12.67… Top 400-meter time of the season came at the Alex Wilson Invitational (3/3) where he finished ninth with a time of 47.11… Placed second in the 200 meters at the Bill Easton Classic (1/7) completing the lap in 22.03.
2011 OUTDOOR
Earned All-American Second Team honors in the 400 meters with his 16th-place finish at the NCAA Outdoor National Championships, clocking in with a season-best 46.11… Took sixth in the 400 meters at the Big 12 Outdoor Championships (5/15) with a time of 46.32… Won the 400 meters in a time of 47.76 at the Kansas Relays (4/23)… Earned a personal best 100-meter time of 10.73 at the Bill Williams/Bob Laptad Invitational (4/29) in a third-place finish… Placed fourth in the 200 meters at the John Jacobs Invitational (4/16) with a personal-best time of 21.24… Won the 400-meter title at the Razorback Spring Invitational, crossing the finish line in 46.62.
2011 INDOOR
Competed in the 400 meters at the Big 12 Indoor Championships (2/25), clocking in with a personal-best time of 46.65 and placing fifth… Broke the seven-second mark in the 60 meters at the Missouri vs. Kansas Dual (1/14) to finish second with a time of 6.93… Won the 200 meters at the Bill Easton Classic (1/8), crossing the finish line in 21.86… Recorded a new personal best in the 600 yards at the Bill Easton Classic (1/8) with a time of 1:11.14.
2010 OUTDOOR
Notched three first-place victories in the 400 meters; the first coming at the John McDonnell Invitational (4/9) with a time of 46.43, the second on a time of 46.94 at the Kansas Relays (4/17) and the third coming at the Twilight Invitational (5/1) with a time of 46.50… Finished third in the 200 meters at the Arkansas Spring Invitational (3/27) with a wind-aided time of 21.63… Competed in the 400 meters at the NCAA West Preliminaries, running a time of 45.98, a personal best.
2010 INDOOR
Contributed greatly as a freshman… Four top-five finishes on the season… Set a team and personal best in the 60-meter dash at the Jayhawk Classic (1/29) with a time of 6.91, finishing fifth… Recorded a first-place finish, a team best and a personal record, in the 200 meters at the Jayhawk Classic (1/29) with a time of 21.7… Ran a 22.32 200 meters en route to a first-place finish at the Kansas vs. Missouri Dual (1/15).
HIGH SCHOOL
Member of 2008 and 2009 state championship track team at Rowlett High School… Individual Texas State Champion in the 400-meters his junior and senior seasons… Anchored the 4×100-meter relay team that captured the state championship his junior and senior years… His 4×100-meter relay team in 2008 also held the fastest time in the nation (40.26) that year… 2009 district champion in the 200-meter dash with a time of 21.4… Anchored the 4×200-meter relay team that took first place at the 2009 Texas Relays.

Son of Tim Clemons and Valarie Hilson… Mother, Valarie, was a member of Arkansas State track and field team… Majoring in African and African-American studies.
