Overview: A walk-on transfer from Lamar who sat out the 2010-11 season and will be a redshirt sophomore in 2011-12… Will be looked upon to be a solid contributor off the bench… Younger brother of former Jayhawk great Keith Langford.

Sophomore Season (2011-12): Played in 36 of 38 games… Averaged 8.6 minutes, 1.2 points, 1.6 rebounds and 0.4 blocks per game for the national runner-up Jayhawks… Scored a season-high six points on two different occasions (Towson, 11/11 and Howard, 12/29)… Pulled down a season-high seven rebounds and a career-high three blocks versus Florida Atlantic (11/30)… Tallied three or more rebounds on 10 different occasions… Played a season-high 21 minutes versus Kentucky (11/15)… Finished fourth on the team in blocks with 14.

Freshman Season (2009-10 at Lamar): Played 23 games for Lamar with two starts… Averaged 9.9 minutes, 1.2 points and 1.3 rebounds per game for head coach Steve Roccaforte… Had a season-high in points and rebounds with eight points and eight rebounds against Lyon College… Scored in seven games for the Cardinals… Had four games of 20-plus minutes.

Off the Court: Full name is Justin Isiah Wesley… Born in Fort Worth, Texas… Mother is Charlene Taylor… Major is economics… Has two older brothers – Keith and Kevin Langford… Keith was a KU standout from 2002-05 where he was a member of two NCAA Final Four squads… Keith ranks seventh on the KU career scoring list with 1,812 points and was a member of the 2003 NCAA Final Four All-Tournament team… Wesley verbally committed to Kansas in 2001 when he was in the fourth grade when Keith came to KU… Kevin played at California and TCU… Both older brothers play professionally… Uncle, Charles Taylor, played college football at Rice before enjoying a successful NFL career with the Kansas City Chiefs and Denver Broncos.
